Good Morning America host and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Michael Strahan, tested positive for COVID-19.

Strahan’s co-hosts, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Amy Robach, addressed his absence on the show Thursday morning.

“We know that you have noticed that Michael has not been here with us this week,” Roberts said. “He wanted us to let you know he has tested positive for COVID. He’s at home quarantining right now.”

Stephanopoulos said Strahan is feeling well and looks forward to returning. He also clarified that everyone on the set of Good Morning America, in front of and behind the camera, was cleared to be there by the Disney Company and that they were following all contact tracing and CDC guidelines.

Stephanopoulos and his wife both tested positive for coronavirus in April 2020.

Roberts added that Strahan’s dog, Enzo, was keeping him company.

Strahan also hosts The $10,000 Pyramid and is a football analyst for FOX Sports. He was a professional football player with the Giants for 15 years. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
