Fortnite: TSM Exits Fortnite, Releases Saf, MackWood And Ferrrnando

Team SoloMid clears more room on their Fortnite roster.

Established esports organization Team SoloMid announced the departures of competitive Fortnite Battle Royale players Mack "MackWood" Aesoph, Rocco "Saf" Morales and Kerry "Ferrrnando" Salas earlier today. These three NA East competitors joined TSM at various points throughout the last two years, MackWood being the longest-running member to this point. Ferrnando and Saf both followed in August of 2020 and spent just over five months with Team SoloMid. Now, the organization loses three recognizable names in the scene, leaving only three Fortnite players remaining.

TSM released a brief statement on Twitter regarding these roster changes:

"Today we're announcing our departure from competitive Fortnite and parting ways with @MackWood1x, @TSM_Ferrrnando, and @Safarooniee.

Thank you for everything you contributed to TSM during your time with the org. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors."

The organization's focus might be shifting away from Fortnite, given their current roster after a string of releases. Two of these three are Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) winners. MackWood won in Season X with former TSM teammate Anthony "Zexrow" Colandro and Jonathan "Calc" Weber, whereas Saf and his long-time duo partner Zayt won in Chapter 2 - Season 2. Ferrrnando did not possess as much of a resume but has been a consistent player since the Fortnite World Cup Qualifiers. Team SoloMid also parted ways with Leon "Khanada" Khim back in December, so it's worth questioning what the brand plans for the future.

What's Next for Free Agents and TSM?

)

MackWood and Saf have already touted their accomplishments online in hopes of attracting a new organization's attention. The former took to Twitter with his excitement regarding free agency. "SUPER HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT I AM OFFICIALLY A FREE AGENT LETS GOOO," exclaimed MackWood on Twitter. He may join current Fortnite teammate Khanada on Built By Gamers (BBG), who have compiled quite a roster as of late. Saf could find a home anywhere because he's one of the best in the game's history.

As for Team SoloMid, their current roster contains only Ops, Zexrow and Commandment; Ops is primarily a content creator, and Zexrow floats between Fortnite and Valorant. That leaves Commandment as the only bonafide professional player. Perhaps the organization is clearing house to make way for more signings down the line, but there's no indication of what's next.
