Fortnite World Cup Runner-Up Wolfiez To Star In Amazon Prime Documentary

Amazon’s ‘Gamebreakers’ series details a Fortnite World Cup finalist’s path to becoming a millionaire.


Competitive Fortnite Battle Royale is breaking further into the mainstream with European superstar Jaden “Wolfiez” Ashman. The renowned controller player will appear in Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Gamebreakers’ docuseries, which goes in-depth with “profiles of the exceptional streamers, personalities and esports pros doing incredible things in the gaming world.” The Fortnite World Cup runner-up from two years ago takes center-stage as one of the series’ subjects. A member of EXCEL, Wolfiez has been a top player in Fortnite’s most challenging region since 2019. The team behind Gamebreakers will take viewers on a 23-minute journey through Wolfiez’s exceptional history in Fortnite.

EXCEL revealed the episode’s trailer, which profiles Wolfiez during his World Cup run from July of 2019 and beyond. The English player notably finished in second place alongside former duo partner and organizational teammate Dave “Rojo” Jong. Each player pocketed over $1.1M USD for their efforts on the game’s largest stage. Wolfiez continued performing well in many of Fortnite’s significant events, including another runner-up result in the FNCS Invitational, a performance that netted him another $95K USD.

Amazon’s Gambreakers episode about the young player includes insight from esports journalists, Fortnite commentator Javier “MonsterDface” Collazo and Wolfiez himself. It’ll be interesting to learn more about someone who went from a relative unknown to one of Fortnite’s highest-earning players in mere months.

The episode will be available on Amazon Prime Video on February 14.
