Let’s take a look at some of the most interesting EU series that took place during Week 3 of the 2021 DPC.
After two amazing weeks full of back interesting series, it’s time to take a look at Week 3 and all of the things that happened. Similar to our previous two reviews, we will try to highlight some of the most exciting matches that took place in the Upper and the Lower Division.
Lower Division
There were several interesting series this week, and now that they are over, we can safely say that Hellbear Smashers is going to be one of the teams that will advance forward. Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard and his team-mates are yet to lose a game, so they definitely deserve their success.
One of the most interesting series this week was between Brame and Creepwave. The two teams had the same points prior to their clash. That’s why this was an important match for both of them.
Although Brame played pretty well in each game, they ended up losing the series. In fact, they only won game one, thanks to Lycan. This hero proved once again that he is one of the best carries in the patch.
Despite losing game one, Remco "Crystallis" Arets and co. managed to bounce back. They decide to pick Juggernaut and Crystal Maiden, which is an old-school Dota 2 combo that managed to work really well in this matchup.
Having the momentum on their side, the team was able to take game three as well. They picked the same safelane duo and even though it wasn’t easy to lane against Nature’s Prophet, they managed to deal with the pesky hero.

Upper Division
Although there are some interesting series in the Lower Division, this one is definitely more interesting to watch. The first series that we have to talk about was between Team Liquid and Tundra Esports (the ex mudgolems roster).
Everyone thought that Samuel "Boxi" Svahn and his team-mates would win, but sadly, it didn’t happen. Thanks to Adrian "Fata" Trinks and his picks, TE was able to win both maps fairly easy.
The second game was definitely more interesting because Liquid had the power to win. Despite picking Terrorblade, Tundra Esports’s Wraith King had an amazing game and didn’t let the late-game monster get enough items.
Highlight Series: Team Secret
The truth is both of Team Secret's series this week were well worth the watch! We break them both down.
Team Secret vs Nigma
This was the most anticipated series this week because both teams were yet to lose a series in the European Dota Pro Circuit League. Needless to say, the two have met numerous times in 2020 and the series were always interesting to watch. The two European juggernauts are considered to be one of the best in the world, which is why it’s difficult to predict what would happen.
The first game of the series wasted for around 40 minutes, which was strange, considering the fact Secret absolutely rippled through Nigma. Clement "Puppey" Ivanov and his team-mates got the lead during the laning stage and didn’t allow their opponents to recover. Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi’s PL was the only hero that was capable of going up against Secret, but even the mighty carry was not enough to survive against Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen’s Slark.
After being destroyed in game one, Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi and co. definitely played better. They did some pretty good rotations around the map, which gave them a slight advantage at one point. Sadly, Team Secret didn’t let TI 7 champions succeed. Slowly by steadily, Matu’s Ursa became an unstoppable force and finished the game with 20 kills and 2 deaths.
Following the result, Team Nigma now has the same number of points as OG. This means that the clash between them which will take place next week is going to be extremely interesting to watch.

Team Liquid vs Team Secret
The final series of the week that everyone was waiting for was between TL and Secret. Although Michael "miCKe" Vu and his team-mates have what it takes to bring down some of the best teams in the world, Team Secret proved once again why they are considered to be the best team in the world.
After dealing with Nigma, Puppey and co. were able to easily win yet another series without dropping a game. However, game one was definitely not easy for the mighty European powerhouse.
Both Team Liquid and Secret played really well, which is why we got to see an hour-long game. Sadly, TL’s draft was not as strong as Secret’s. Once the Lone Druid accumulated enough farm, he was able to easily dominate everyone else on the opposite team.
Following the victory in game one, TS also won the next one. It definitely wasn’t as difficult as the first one. but Team Liquid had some glimmers of hope because they had Storm Spirit and Slardar. Unfortunately, it was not enough to bring down the mighty Secret.
