Mousesports Welcome Renegades' dexter As Their New IGL

German CS: GO team Mousesports signed Christopher ‘dexter’ Nong as their new CSGO in-game leader, replacing karrigan.

Slated to join from Renegades, the 26-year-old dominated the Oceania region last year and spearheaded Renegades to a whopping 10 successive tournament wins since March 2020.

Nong added up significant stats for the Australian team during his time with Renegades. With his lowest rating of the year coming amid DreamHack Open Summer 2020, where he tallied a low of 1.17. He has a reputation for breaking the stereotype that in-game leaders aren't capable of fragging as he filed his 2020 campaign with impressive tournament ratings above the 1.20 mark.

Karrigan leaving mousesports?

Nong's signing is big news not only for mousesports' current roster. The rumor mill has been churning out plenty of speculation about the team's plans. With suggestions they were considering replacing current in-game leader Finn "karrigan" Andersen before his contract expires in March 2021. Nong's signing lends credence to this, suggesting Andersen is on his way out. That will put an end to a period of limbo for him that dates back to November last year.

Reports floating around the internet last year suggested that Andersen will return to FaZe Clan, which recently added Team Liquid star Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken. From 2016 to 2018, he had a strong run with FaZe, which included a slew of notable tournament victories, as well as a second-place finish in the ELEAGUE Boston Major.

With only two of FaZe's current players including Olof "olofmeister" Gustafsson and Håvard "rain" Nygaard remaining on the roster since Andersen led it, FaZe is now a different team. Moreover, Gustafsson is reportedly planning to retire from professional CS:GO.
