Cardi B: Men should receive less expensive Valentine's Day gifts

Cardi B thinks men should receive "less expensive" gifts for Valentine's Day.

The 28-year-old rapper - who has Kulture, two, with fellow hip-hop star Offset - has revealed she thinks women ought to be receiving the most expensive gifts on Sunday (14.02.21).

Looking forward to the romantic celebration, Cardi wrote on her Twitter page: "Yes ! Men do deserve to get gift as well for Valentine’s Day,but the gift have to be less expensive then the girls gift . Soo if he buys you flowers you buy him grass. (sic)"

Cardi also explained that she's decided to work harder than ever over the last couple of years.

The outspoken star thinks she could've easily walked away from the music business in 2018 and 2019, but she decided to fight for her career and prove her doubters wrong.

Cardi - who worked as a stripper before becoming a rap star - said on the micro-blogging platform: "I could’ve gave up in 2018 & 2019 when Cardicancel party was the event to attend too. That made me go harder .When I was a dancer I worked harder when there was less money in my bank account .Now in life when everything against me & I get doubted the most that’s when I go HARDER (sic)"

Earlier this year, meanwhile, Cardi admitted she hates recording "clean" versions of her songs.

The rap star has courted controversy with her sexually-explicit lyrics, but Cardi revealed she doesn't like diluting her music.

She wrote on Twitter: "It be so annoying doing clean versions of my songs [rolling eyes emoji] I hate it [unamused emoji] (sic)"

Cardi's hit single 'WAP' - which also features Megan Thee Stallion - is perhaps her most controversial track to date.

The record divided public opinion, with some fans praising the sex-positive message, while critics slammed the raunchy lyrics.

Discussing the radio-friendly version of 'WAP', Cardi previously said on Twitter: "Trust me I hate it soooooo much (sic)"
