Their replies on Twitter seem to show that the two players’ departure was amicable.
There were only tweets of gratitude between the players and the team after both Kim "Febby" Yong-min and Damien "kpii" Chok were released from the roster of the Filipino organization. This development came after TNC Predator failed to reach the first Major of the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 season.
TNC stated that "the team decided to move towards greater heights and agreed to part ways" with the two players.
Febby and Kpii's time with TNC
Febby joined the team as head coach in January 2020 and frequently played as a stand-in. He had helped TNC become the top SEA squad during that time.
Febby was tapped to become the team’s fifth player to complete TNC’s roster for the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit. He had previously helped TNC win the BTS Pro Series Season Four over the all-star Team Dog squad.
Kpii had spent over 17 months with the team and was one of the team’s longest-serving players. His successful run with the team consisted of seven tournament wins (MDL Chengdu Major, World Electronic Sports Games 2019 Southeast Asia Finals, ESL One Hamburg 2019, MDL Chengdu Major SEA Closed Qualifier, World Electronic Sports Games 2019 Philippines Finals, BTS Pro Series Season 4: Southeast Asia and ESL One Thailand 2020: Asia) and a total purse of $623,750 with him in the TNC lineup.
TNC Predator issued an official statement on Twitter of the departure of the two players from their lineup. Febby replied to the tweet by saying, “The pleasure was mine to work with world class players. I’m sorry to the team for I could not be the captain they deserve and also to the energetic TNC fans for not being the best we could have been.”

On the other hand, Kpii thanked the team; also calling his departure “unfortunate” after seeing glimmers of hope in the reunion after the lockdown.

Fans of TNC Predator will be looking forward to the two players they’ll pick to replace Febby and Kpii. Whoever they are, they’ll be joining Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte, Armel Paul "Armel" Tabios and Timothy John "Tims" Randrup to continue TNC Predator’s pursuit of becoming the top team in the Southeast Asian Dota Pro Circuit.
