Best NBA Prop Bets: March 10, 2021

It’s a simple two-game slate as we kick off the second half of the NBA season tonight. First will be the Washington Wizards at the Memphis Grizzlies before the Dallas Mavericks host the San Antonio Spurs. Two games means fewer opportunities for prop bet plays, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t value to be had. Consider the following plays as tonight’s best NBA prop bets.

Coming out of the all-star break with a .500 record of 6-6 isn’t ideal but is reasonable. Over the course of three slates, one 1-5 day has really held us down. It’s time to correct the record and make some money on this Wednesday night NBA slate.

General Rule: No odds greater than -150. This is to ensure value in tracking the overall record.

Here are tonight’s best NBA prop bets.

Dillon Brooks Over 17.5 Points (-120)

The Memphis Grizzlies are set to face the Washington Wizards in a rematch from March 2, just a few days before the all-star break began. The Grizzlies won 125-111, handing the Wizards one of their three losses over their last ten games.

Ja Morant went off for 35 points in that one, but this is about Dillon Brooks. He finished that game with 20 points himself for the Grizzlies. The Wizards have been playing much better defensively lately after an abysmal start to the season on that end.

They still lack quality perimeter defenders, though. More importantly, they don’t have any real presence at the rim defensively. A player like Brooks, who is a straight-up scorer and can do it in a number of ways, exploits the Wizards defense ten out of ten times.

Any mismatch he comes across offensively, which shouldn’t be rare tonight, Brooks will know he can get his and do exactly that. Expect a 20 point scoring night for the 25-year-old Oregon product in what should be an exciting interconference matchup.

Davis Bertans Under 3.5 Rebounds (-144)

The sharpshooting specialist has the size to grab rebounds but that’s about it. He has proven he isn’t going to make his presence known on the glass most nights and tonight’s matchup does not seem like it will work in his favor.

Not only is he sixth in rebounds per game on his own team over the last ten games, but he’s also up against a Grizzlies roster with strong rebounders across their frontcourt. Jonas Valanciunas will grab his usual double-digit boards in this one while being supported by the likes of Brandon Clarke, Justice Winslow and Kyle Anderson among others.

The Grizzlies have a number of slightly undersized wings that clean the class against weaker opponents and Bertans is going to struggle to help his team with the rebounds in this one. He’ll certainly get minutes as a lethal shooter playing off Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal but don’t expect him to spend much time close to the rim. This is one of the best prop bets of the night.

Josh Richardson Under 1.5 3’s Made (-132)

Richardson has had a tough season from behind the arc so far, connecting on just 28.8 percent of his attempts this year after he hit 34.1 percent last year with the 76ers. In two March games, he is 2-14 from deep. Additionally, over his last four games total, he is 4-23 (17.4 percent).

Given his season-long struggles, it seems likely his shooting struggles won’t be solved by the short all-star break. While the Spurs don’t defend the three-ball well as a team on the year, they’re trending in the right direction defending opposing team’s three-point shots.

With the focus within their team being on a legitimate playoff push, expect that trend to continue. That will play a role in keeping Richardson out of rhythm from behind the arc.
