Sentinels Sweep FaZe Clan

In an exciting best of five grand finals match, Sentinels defeated FaZe Clan 3-0 to take the championship title. FaZe originally lost to Sentinels in the upper bracket finals 0-2. But after an exciting 2-0 win against Gen.G Esports, they returned to grand finals for revenge. Unfortunately, the rematch ended the same way again with a complete sweep.

It was a difficult match in the beginning but that quickly changed. Game 1 was the only time when FaZe Clan held a decisive lead. They ended the first half on Ascent 8-4. After that first half, Sentinels led every single half and won every game. This victory came about thanks to Tyson “TenZ” Ngo joining Sentinels after the suspension of Jay “Sinatraa” Won. Though he didn’t do all the work, he certainly made significant contributions and got many opening picks.

VCT Masters 1 NA

VCT Masters Stage 1 NA boasted a $150 thousand prize pool. Sentinels take the lion’s share of the pool with $60 thousand and 100 VCT Circuit Points. FaZe wins $30 thousand while Gen.G and Team Envy, who tied for third, receive $15 thousand.

Sentinels, now North America’s best VALORANT esports team, was crowned in yesterday’s VCT Masters Stage 1 NA tournament. Other major regions also crowned winners with Team Vikings and Acend leading Brazil and Europe respectively.

Next, teams must compete on the international stage in Iceland from May 24 to May 30. VCT Masters Stage 2 brings the top teams from each major region together to crown one winner. The strongest VALORANT esports team around the world gets crowned in Reykjavík, Iceland. Fans will want to keep up with the VALORANT Champions Tour to see which team succeeds against the rest.
