Le Mans Classic returning 2022 and 2023 for centenary special

After first being postponed in 2020, Le Mans Classic has once again had to be cancelled this year due to the restrictions in place to fight the spread of covid-19. The event's organizers hope to see fans of the event back in force in 2022, as well as in 2023 for a special centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

For the first time, two editions of this usually biennial vintage sports car event in France will be held in consecutive years. Plus, with 2023 marking the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, that particular edition of Le Mans Classic promises to be particularly special.

As for this year, government restrictions on mass gatherings forced the organizers to cancel the event, due to be held July 1-4, 2021. However, competitors who wish to will still be able to drive on the Bugatti circuit July 3 and 4.

The biannual event is usually attended by around 200,000 spectators.

Mark your calendars!
