tilr Corporation recruits Skinz.gg to help gamers find work

Ontario-based AI hiring platform tilr Corporation has formed a partnership with gamer-focused wellness brand Skinz.gg to launch a job portal for the video game industry.

The portal is hosted on Skinz.gg’s website and uses tilr’s ‘skill matching and skill mapping’ algorithm to connect companies with job seekers.

Job-seekers in the video game industry can input their skills, schedule and attend live interviews, plus set up job preferences. They can also discover skills gaps and take retraining or ‘up-skilling’ courses while accessing jobs listed in tilr’s database.

tilr Co-Founder and CEO, Stephen Shefsky provided background on the partnership in a release: “We see great synergies between the meteoric rise of esports, online gaming, and innovations in digital engineering with tilr’s gamified formula for instantly matching the best prospective employees with employers, improving what has until now been an outdated recruitment system.

”We are privileged to partner with Skinz.gg, ‘plugging in’ directly with software and graphic designers, coders, and more. tilr has jobs directly aligned with their skills in our database and we want to help those looking for work to find it.”

According to the release, the partnership was inspired by COVID-19 and the hardships it has caused for employees and job seekers alike. tilr aims to make the hiring process easier for both job seekers and hiring managers by using AI to match candidates more accurately.

Skinz.gg Co-Founder and President, Gary Kleinman, added: “We’re extremely excited to partner with tilr to support one of the fastest-growing entertainment industries in the world. With nearly 3 billion gamers globally, employment in the space is growing exponentially.

“As a lifestyle platform, it’s not enough to provide exceptional products; we want to help gamers power the performance of their life, from their employment to finances and social life. For those looking for jobs and careers in gaming, the best way to do that is with tilr’s artificial intelligence and skill mapping.”

Esports Insider says: This partnership is an interesting one. It shows once again how brands have come together during COVID-19 to help the audience at large. A job board is unusual for a supplement/wellness brand, to say the least, but it does send the message that Skinz.gg is invested in gamers’ wellbeing both inside and outside the game.
