Esports organization Dignitas has decided to discontinue its male Valorant roster, and will only continue to field its female roster for the foreseeable future.
The male roster had been representing Dignitas since August 2020, with the core of the team competing under the Homeless tag prior to being signed by Dignitas. The team had been posting disappointing results and most notably didn't make it out of the open qualifiers for the Valorant Champions Tour. The roster had undergone several changes, most recently benching former Fortnite pro and founding member Harrison "psalm" Chang.
In the official announcement, Dignitas states that it will remain active in Valorant. The organization could sign a new male roster in the near future. In the meantime, Dignitas' female team remains a part of the organization. That squad has experienced relative success in its recent history, placing fourth in the Valorant Champions Tour: Game Changers event.
Dignitas had high expectations when signing its male roster. The team was spearheaded by psalm and former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro Rory "dephh" Jackson. Dignitas had recently been making changes in the roster, benching psalm only days before announcing the roster's departure. His temporary stand-in, GianFranco “koalanoob” Potestio, impressed in his debut for the squad. In a lost match against Ghost Gaming, he managed 35 frags and averaged the highest damage per round on the team.

In a reaction on Twitter, the team captain dephh said that the five players will continue to compete together for the time being. The team will take part in the VCT Challengers 1 series, with dephh saying the team will use a "pug mentality". However, the official team registration for the event shows former CSGO pro ryann replaced with Hunter “BabyJ” Schline.
