On Tuesday, actor Michael Rapoprt shared screenshots of messages where Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant used homophobic, misogynistic, and profane language towards Rapoprt.

“I receive threats and disgusting messages DAILY, but never in my wildest dreams did I think (Kevin Durant) would be among them,” Rapaport tweeted out. “The (snake emoji) himself is now threatening me, bringing up my wife, and wants to fight.” “This is supposed to be America’s sweetheart right?

The screenshots show that Durant has been exchanging messages with the actor since 2020. The All-Star sent messages with profanities to Rapaport due to a previous Twitter post that Durant took offense to. The All-Star’s messages were filled with profanity and threatening to fight the actor. “I swear ima spit in your face when I see your dirty a-s,” the All-Star said, as he threatened Rapport, “Meet me at w 17th tomorrow at 10, better yet, what’s your address?”

The insults continued and escalated to the point where Durant involved the actor’s wife. “Your wife doesn’t even respect your bitch ass,” Durant wrote.

The Nets star confirmed that the messages are real. Durant confirmed in response to a fan’s tweet about the situation. “Me and mike talk CRAZIER than this on the regular, and today he’s pissed…My bad mike, damn!!” the superstar said.

It is unknown if the NBA will take action against the superstar for the language used in the messages. The league has punished players in the past for anti-gay rhetoric.
