Google will let workers back in office next month

Google is looking to have some employees to return to the office in the US next month.

The tech giant is pushing on with its plan to reopen with more people getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

As reported by CNET, a Google spokeswoman confirmed attendance will be voluntary at first, with their offices sticking to a limited capacity.

Meanwhile, the plan depends on some factors, including a downward trend in COVID-19 cases, and increased vaccine availability.

Although workers won't need to be vaccination to return to the office, Google is encouraging it.

Google won't be requiring anyone to be back on site until September, when a hybrid model is being introduced.

Late last year, CEO Sunday Pichai revealed the plan would see people work for at least three days in the office, with the remainder being done remotely.

However, this won't be possible for all workers, including the likes of engineers.
