Shahar “flameZ” Shushan replaces Issa "ISSAA" Murad for the tournament.

Four days prior to BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2021, OG has announced that Israeli rifler Shahar "flameZ'' Shushan will replace Issa "ISSAA" Murad. flameZ who used to play for the British esports organization Endpoint and had a fairly successful track record. He had been competing with Endpoint for seven months. During his time here, the team notably qualified for ESL Pro League Season 13. Undoubtedly, he was a major factor when their global ranking improved significantly. He has now managed to grab an opportunity to be a part of the OG roster for the upcoming BLAST event.

OG's roster changes

The team, less than a month ago, had undergone a change in the roster by replacing Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt with Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen. NBK- was benched due to in-game differences with the team in late February. "With Nikolaj and Shahar now joining the roster, we are confident that we can keep pushing the team towards the highest levels of Counter-Strike," OG's COO Charlie Debs, said. Debs went on to say, "Shahar is an amazingly talented young player who already understands what it takes to perform at the highest level, and we will do our best to offer him the right tools to bloom even more this season."

The name flameZ started to come to the forefront at the start of this year. Multiple HLTV Top 20-ranked players dubbed him a "player to watch" and a rising star. They praised his skill of course, but also his in-game communication and overall strategy. His performance in this upcoming tournament will be interesting to watch, given a good track record but minimum preparation time. OG will compete against Astralis in the first round of the single-elimination bracket, which will kick off on Tuesday, April 13. This is also when flameZ will make his debut.
