LoL: TL's Santorin Replaced By Armao For LCS MSS Match Against TSM Due To Illness

Team Liquid's jungler revealed he won't be their starting player against TSM.

Lucas "Santorin" Larsen, Team Liquid's starting jungler, announced via Twitter a major roster change a day ahead of their make-or-break match against TSM. Citing intense migraines and lack of sleep, Santorin said he will not be able to play in their upcoming Mid-Season Showdown match. Instead, Jonathan "Armao" Armao will take his place on stage.

This is definitely a huge blow for TL. Santorin has been a consistent performer all year long. He even picked up the 2nd All-Pro Team spot for jungle, behind only Cloud9's Robert "Blaber" Huang. Especially since so much rides on this one, single series. A win versus TSM is a must to be able to have a shot at taking down Cloud9 and securing a spot at the Mid-Season Invitational ("MSI"). No doubt that the squad would be devastated if they didn't even have the chance to face C9 in the Finals for that honor.

So, they have all their eggs in the Armao basket. Playing on TL Academy this year, he's had some pretty decent performances. He and the team did well in the NA Academy Spring Split, ending with a record of 7-2. Unfortunately, they did have an early departure from the LCS Proving Grounds though. Regardless of that, Armao has seen his fair share of the LCS stage. Being on teams like TSM and Echo Fox before, he is familiar with high-stakes matches.

Hopefully, he can fill Santorin's spot nicely and get TL to the MSS Finals. It's not known yet whether or not Santorin will rejoin the starting lineup for the potential Finals match against C9. But it's certain he'll do anything he can to make that Finals match if his team gets there.
