The Defense Department confirmed that leaked photos and videos of “unidentified aerial phenomena” (UAP) from 2019 are real images of unexplained objects.

According to Pentagon spokeswoman Sue Gough, photos and videos of triangle shaped objects moving through the sky were taken by Navy personnel. She confirmed that photos of three other unidentified objects were also taken. One was “sphere” shaped, another “acorn” shaped and one characterized as a “metallic blimp.”

“As we have said before, to maintain operations security and to avoid disclosing information that may be useful to potential adversaries, DOD does not discuss publicly the details of either the observations or the examinations of reported incursions into our training ranges or designated airspace, including those incursions initially designated as UAP,” Gough said.

Gough also said the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force “included these incidents in their ongoing examinations.” The task force was created in August to investigate Unidentified Foreign Objects (UFO) sightings by the military.

The photos in questions have been circulating on the internet since last year.

In 2019, the Navy said “a number of reports of unauthorized and/or unidentified aircraft entering various military-controlled ranges and designated air space in recent years.”

Last year, the Pentagon released three videos showing “unidentified aerial phenomena” that the Navy confirmed were real.

U.S. intelligence agencies have been directed to give unclassified reports about UAP’s to Congress in June.
