Among Us Coming to PlayStation Later This Year

The game of lies and deception has proven to be quite popular, having won Best Mobile Game in the 2020 Game Awards and selling over 3.2 million copies on the Nintendo Switch during December.

Among Us is set to also release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later in 2021, joining the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One/Xbox Series X (which had been announced as well).

The news comes directly from the official Among Us Twitter page, alongside a short teaser trailer.

The PlayStation version will include a platform-exclusive skin, hat, and pet based on the PlayStation franchise Ratchet & Clank. Furthermore, the game will include crossplay and online multiplayer.

The Airship map had been recently released and is the biggest map as of now. It includes new tasks such as jewel polishing and also the ability to pick the room you start in. Future plans include a new art style to clean up lines and include other animation improvements.

A full art style revamp! Puffballs has completely updated the art style with cleaner lines and an easier animation process. Can’t wait for you to see that soon!

Larger lobby sizes so you can play with up to 15 players. Considering The Airship’s size, we hope this will be a fun way to gather with even more of your friends.

More frequent, transparent updates from us! One of our big goals is to just show you the development process, what goes on behind-the-scenes, and for you grow with us. We’ve learned so much and don’t want to hide anything from you when it comes to this stuff. It’s weird!

It is unclear when these are expected or if they will be included when the Xbox or PlayStation versions are released, but keep an eye out for further updates on Among Us.
