Former Vice President Mike Pence Sings Trump’s Praises After Distancing Himself

HERSHEY, PA - DECEMBER 10: U.S. President Donald Trump gestures with US Vice President Mike Pence during a campaign rally on December 10, 2019 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This rally marks the third time President Trump has held a campaign rally...

Former Vice President Mike Pence praised former President Donald Trump’s policies in his first public appearance since leaving the White House.

Pence also praised Sen. Tim Scott (R-South Carolina), who delivered the GOP response to President Joe Biden‘s first presidential address to Congress. Pence called Scott’s speech “strong, honest, and truly inspiring.”

Pence emphasized in his speech the need for Republicans to put forth a “positive agenda” in order to win back Congress and, eventually, win back the White House.

Pence, who spoke at the Palmetto Family Council Annual Gala in South Carolina, also made a point of criticizing Biden’s “avalanche of liberal policies” in his speech. The former V.P. urged conservatives to challenge the “far-left agenda.”

This is not the first time Pence has spoken out against the “far-left.” In fact, Pence has tweeted about Biden’s agenda frequently in the past, saying that “the most disturbing development of the last 100 days has been the Biden administration’s whole-hearted embrace of the radical left’s all-encompassing, rapidly-escalating war on American traditional values.”

Pence has a podcast launching later this year and is expected to participate in GOP campaigning efforts during the 2022 elections.
