Google Stadia staff join Haven Studios

Haven Studios has welcomed more Google Stadia Staff.

Corey May - who served as lead writer, script writer and later narrative director on several 'Assassin's Creed' games over a 12-year period - also worked as head of creative services at Stadia.

Now, Jade Raymond - who set up Haven earlier this year - has welcomed Corey and several others to bolster the new studio.

As reported by Cyberia, Sebastian Puel - who was the brand's general manager - has also made the jump, alongside at least four more former team members.

Raymond founded the Montreal studio in March, which came a month after Google revealed it wouldn't be developing its own games.

In a statement, Raymond said at the time: "I'm announcing Haven, an independent studio where many of the talented game developers I have worked with for years (and love dearly!) are coming together to do what we are most passionate about.

"It's time for us to refocus on GAMES in a place where we can practice our crafts without any barriers or impediments.

"Together, we want to create games that are a haven for players, and we want to build a studio that is a haven for developers.

"So, while we don't have many details to announce today, I want the PlayStation community to know that Haven Studios is already hard at work on an unannounced IP. We can't wait to show you more!"
