Google can detect skin conditions with just three photos

Google claims it can detect skin conditions with just three photos.

A new artificial intelligence system, designed by the technology giant, allows you to submit three photos of your skin concern and it says it can detect one of 288 skin conditions present.

The new software is hoping to be released in Europe later this year and is able to detect a multitude of skin issues including warts, cysts or lipoma, for example.

In a blog post, they shared: "Each year we see almost ten billion Google Searches related to skin, nail and hair issues. Two billion people worldwide suffer from dermatologic issues, but there's a global shortage of specialists. While many people's first step involves going to a Google Search bar, it can be difficult to describe what you're seeing on your skin through words alone.

"Our AI-powered dermatology assist tool is a web-based application that we hope to launch as a pilot later this year, to make it easier to figure out what might be going on with your skin."

Google fed the AI system with over 65,000 pictures of diagnosed conditions in order to give the most accurate results for both men and women of all different races.
