LIMA, PERU - JUNE 17: Detail of the hands of Peruvian Para badminton player Pedro Pablo de Vinatea during a training session at Videna during government-ordered coronavirus lockdown on June 13, 2020 in Lima, Peru. As he awaits for an invitation...

Paralympic badminton player Miles Krajewski is hopeful and eager to represent the United States at the international level and to ascend to an elite tier of performance while doing so.

“I’m hoping to make Tokyo, and then also play my best and hopefully medal along with other players who are pretty good, top athletes,” he said.

The meaning of representing Team USA for a sport that has never been featured in the Paralympics is not lost on Krajewski.

“It would mean a lot to me because I have had a lot of support from my coach, my family, Team USA, and especially it being para-badminton’s first time in the Paralympics means a lot, and hopefully I can make it.”
