NeNe Leakes' husband Gregg Leakes battling cancer again

NeNe Leakes' husband is battling cancer again.

The former 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star revealed her significant other Gregg Leakes - who was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018 - has been in hospital battling the disease, and he has undergone surgery.

She said: "He's in the hospital. He's been in the hospital, tomorrow it'll be a week.

"I'm sure he'll be home in about a week or so. He had to have a surgery, [because] his cancer did return.

"He's had this surgery before and he was in the hospital for about 15 days."

The 53-year-old reality star admitted it is a "difficult" time, and her 66-year-old husband is "different".

Speaking in an Instagram Live with The Jasmine Brand, she added: "He's super small. If you've ever been around somebody who's had cancer before, he's different. He's different.

"I'd love for everybody to pray for Gregg, that would be beautiful. Pray for his strength.

"And pray for me, too."

Gregg's colon cancer previously went into remission following treatment.

In May 2019, NeNe took to Instagram to share a picture of Gregg holding a sign which read: "No cancer found! Praise God…"

She added the caption: "Look at God! We are over joyed to say, we saw the doctors for the results of Gregg's Pet Scan he took last week! Test show, wait for It.....WE ARE CANCER FREE!!! (sic)"

The couple married in 1997 but divorced in 2011, only to get back together and re-marry in 2013.

But during an April 2019 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' reunion, NeNe admitted she was unsure if their marriage could continue.

When asked if they hoped to save their union, Gregg said he did, but NeNe said: "I can’t tell you anything that I’m going to do.

"I feel like I have been pushed up against a wall and I’m coming out as 'no'.

"Anything is possible, we just have to see."

Gregg had previously said sorry to NeNe via Instagram for giving her a hard time amid his cancer battle.

In January 2019, he wrote: "We always hurt the ones we Love.. because they allow us to hurt them rather than snap back. I’m tired of hurting my wife who is only trying to take good care of me and wants only the best for me too. She deserves much more for her hard efforts and tireless hours spent on me. I Pray to God to get it together..

She’s done NO wrong... this is ALL on me......

Cancer WILL change your Life... (sic)"
