Dota 2: Na’Vi To Reconstruct As Three Players Leave The Team

Na’Vi is looking to freshen things up.

It was not long before Natus Vincere looked to announce major changes in the squad. The team had been inactive since July 23, which was shortly after the departure of Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev.

Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosian, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev and coach Andrey “Mag” Chipenko have left the team. It was not a surprise that the organization and its members are looking for change, considering how the team has performed recently. However, they made a few major changes after bringing in Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko and SoNNeikO in May, the latter leaving the team in just two months.

Aleksey Kucherov, COO of Natus Vincere, explained the team’s plans briefly, “Due to the shift in TI10 dates, we have plenty of time until the start of the next season. We are considering various options for the future of NAVI in the discipline while forming a new roster.” Kucherov also thanked the players for their time in the team.

Na'Vi's recent struggles

Na’Vi’s performances have been poor in recent times. The team’s current state is a far cry from their era of dominance in the CIS region. Their previous roster that included RodjER played well in the DPC Season 1. They came in second, only behind Virtus.pro. However, the team was unlucky and come in contact with Covid-19, which ruined their entry into the Singapore Major.

A completely different squad competed in Season 2 with a subpar performance in the circuit, placing Na’Vi 6th on the table and crippling their chances to take part in the Kiev Major. The team has been unlucky and unstable for a while now and this is the correct time to make decisive moves. With a good amount of time in the hands of the organization, a good squad can certainly compete in the next DPC.
