Cr1TiKaL launches Moist Esports for Smash Melee and streaming The unhinged streaming icon is leveraging his audience towards competitive Super Smash Bros.

Moist master Cr1TiKaL has brushed shoulders with esports before. Now he’s going all in with his own organization.

Popular streamer Charles “Cr1TiKaL” White Jr. has announced the formation of a new esports organization called Moist Esports. The sponsor currently competes in Super Smash Bros Ultimate with a presence in content creation, Cr1TiKaL announced. The new organization launched with the goal of getting Super Smash Bros Ultimate player Kola voted into Smash Summit 3.

Cr1TiKaL himself has some experience with competitive gaming. He has participated in several Twitch Rivals events across multiple genres. One of Cr1TiKaL’s most well-known plays is checkmating fellow streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel in just six turns at the PogChamps chess tournament.

This move is an interesting blend of streaming and esports. The two industries are closely connected but this particular arrangement of a streamer starting a team hasn’t been tried yet. It’s not entirely clear if this is a serious venture from Cr1TiKaL or just a casual side project. The organization may also stick to just Super Smash Bros. Either way, Moist Esports will bring attention and support to aspiring esports athletes.

Moist Esports roster

In part due to its very recent introduction, Cr1TiKaL’s esports sponsor currently only has one associated player.

  • Kola (Smash Ultimate)

Kola previously won the $20,000 Soaked Series Invitational for Smash Ultimate, which was hosted by Cr1TiKaL himself. He is known for playing an aggressive Roy but can play multiple characters at a top competitive level. Fans can vote for Kola to attend Smash Ultimate Summit 3 here.
