The Community Day is back and this time it’s Eevee! There are eight Eevee-lutions in Pokemon GO — Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. Over the weekend, we’ll be encountering a LOT of Eevees, so this time, let’s learn about all these Eevee-lutions!
To evolve your Eevees to what you want, there’s an easter egg that guarantees one of each. Beware, though, as these tricks only work once per Eevee-lution. All you need to do is rename your Eevee into the following names.
Vaporeon: Rainer
Jolteon: Sparky
Flareon: Pyro
Espeon: Sakura
Umbreon: Tamao
Leafeon: Linnea
Glaceon: Rea
Sylveon: Kira
During the Community Days, each Eevee-lution will also learn a special exclusive move.
Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon
There’s bad news for those who want to evolve their Eevees to Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon. There is no way of guaranteeing these Eevee-lutions as it’s random. Among these three, Vaporeon is the most preferred as it has great stats and a very fast attack speed. Here are the specs and best skillsets for Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon.
Espeon, Umbreon
It seems Niantic wants you to exercise! To evolve your Eevee to Espeon or Umbreon, you’ll need to make Eevee your buddy and walk 10km before you evolve them. After waking 10km, your Eevee will evolve into Espeon if you evolve it during the day; and Umbreon if you evolve it during the night. Once you’ve walked 10km with your Eevee as your buddy, a silhouette will appear of either Espeon or Umbreon depending on the time of the day. Sylveon
Most of you who are set to catch plenty of Eevees during the Community Days are probably set to catch a shiny 4-star Sylveon, since Sylveon is one of the best Fairy-type Pokemon.
To evolve Eevee into Sylveon, you need to make Eevee your buddy and collect 70 hearts. Normally, it’ll take a good week to evolve your Eevee, but during the Community Days, you’ll only need to earn seven hearts, so make sure you do this during the event. Here are Sylveon’s specs and best skillsets:
