The 2022 LCK Spring Split will commence on January 12. On opening day, DRX will face Liiv SANDBOX and T1 will face Kwangdong Freecs. In 2021, the first year of the franchise system, DWG KIA reigned as the champions of both spring and summer splits. At the world championship, three teams reached the semifinals.

During the stove league, there were many changes in the roster, and several teams came back with a completely new roster. The only teams that have at least three of the same players from last year are T1 and Fredit BRION.

Starting from January 12, the regular season has been scheduled until March 20. With a double round-robin, the ten teams will play 90 matches each. Each match consists of a best of three series.

Unlike the past seasons, both rounds will be held from Wednesday through Sunday. In the previous seasons, the second round was held from Thursday through Sunday, but due to the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games 2022 schedule, changes had been made.

The top six teams during the regular season will advance to the playoffs. The top two teams will head straight to the second round of the playoffs. In the first round, 3rd place will face 6th place, and 4th place will play against 5th place. The playoffs schedule is to be announced.

The total prize money for the spring split is 400M KRW (~335K USD). The champions of the split will be invited to the Mid-Season Invitational. The full schedule of the spring season is as follows.
