A leak suggests 'Grand Theft Auto VI' will be coming in 2024.
The long-awaited new instalment in Rockstar's crime series has been in development for some time and French journalist Chris Klippel, a 'GTA' specialist, posted an update to Twitter about the title's progress.
Klippel - who is the leading games journalist for French entertainment site Presse Citron and runs the fansites Naughty Dog Mag and Rockstar Mag - tweeted: "An important step in the development of #GTA6 has just been reached. Things should speed up (internally at Rockstar).
"I think that a real announcement at the end of the year may be possible. In any case, I don't see the game arriving before the end of 2024!”
Previous leaks from Stephen Totilo, Tom Henderson, and, most recently, Michael Pachter all reported similar timeframes.
Take Two, the parent company of Rockstar, are also planning to spend a lot of money on marketing during the 2023 fiscal year, which could suggest marketing plans for 'GTA VI'.
