Kimberly Guilfoyle Paid $60,000 For 2-Minute Speech At Jan. 6 Rally

WASHINGTON, DC - AUGUST 24: Kimberly Guilfoyle pre-records her address to the Republican National Convention at the Mellon Auditorium on August 24, 2020 in Washington, DC. The novel coronavirus pandemic has forced the Republican Party to move...

Donald Trump Jr.‘s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle was paid a $60,000 fee for speaking at the Ellipse rally that was the precursor to the Capitol riot on January 6.

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-California) said that evidence showed that Trump’s inner circle personally benefitted from Trump’s election lies leading up to the riot.

According to Lofgren, those close to Trump received large sums of money from fundraising centered around false election claims.

Lofgren would not state if she believed how the funding was used could be considered a crime.

“I don’t know,” she told CNN. “You know, we’re a legislative committee. So that’s, that’s for somebody else to decide. But for example, we know that Guilfoyle was paid for the introduction she gave at the speech. I mean, on January 6, she received compensation for that.”

Guilfoyle is considered a key witness to the events of January 6. She is reported to have been in close contact with Trump before and during the insurrection.

Guilfoyle also performed fundraising duties for the Trump campaign leading to the “Stop the Steal” rally.

Originally, Guilfoyle was compliant with the commission, but after she prematurely ended an interview, the commission issued a subpoena to her.

Guilfoyle also complied with an interview request in February but became upset when her talk with the committee members became public.

Lofgren stated that despite all of the evidence presented, it was “not the end of it.”

“We interviewed more than 1,000 people,” she said. “We’ve got hundreds of thousands of documents, and obviously, you can’t present everything in a two-hour hearing, so this is not the end of it… but we’ll have detailed information as time goes on.”
