As the 2024 election inches closer, the Republican National Committee’s neutrality is being called into question as newly surfaced evidence shows that the organization has been supporting many of former President Donald Trump’s businesses.

Though the RNC has touted itself as independent, they have continued its practice of supporting numerous Trump-owned ventures such as his social media platform, Truth Social.

Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has stated in the past that the GOP would remain neutral in the 2024 presidential nomination. The RNC recently voted to bring back candidate debates that aim to create a fair playing ground for Republican candidates in 2024.

Despite the supposed commitment, the RNC continues to use Trump-themed advertising heavily to raise funds for the organization.

An anonymous source told Politico, “I think Trump looks at the RNC as a wholly-owned subsidiary and he should; they are nothing without him. He has all the base and all the money. Neutral — how can they be neutral when he is not simply the main driver but the only driver?”
