WASHINGTON, DC - APRIL 03: Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) speaks during a news conference to announce the "Green Real Deal" on April 3, 2019 in Washington, DC. The "Green Real Deal" is a resolution intended to serve as a response to the "Green New...

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) is being slammed by activists after body-shaming a photo of an abortion-rights protestor.

Gaetz made the statements during a conservative Student Action Summit for Turning Point USA. The event was held in Tampa, Florida, with many other conservative guests.

“Why is it that the women with the least likelihood of getting pregnant are the ones most worried about having abortions? Nobody wants to impregnate you if you look like a thumb,” the Florida representative said.

He continued, “These people are odious from the inside out. They’re like 5′ 2″, 350 pounds, and they’re like, ‘Give me my abortions, or I’ll get up and march and protest.'”

In response, the activist pointed out by Gaetz, Olivia Julianna, stated on Twitter, “I’m actually 5’11”. 6’4” in heels. I wear them so small men like you are reminded of your place.”

Replying to Julianna’s tweet, Gaetz said, “Dander raised….” next to a photo of Julianna.

Gaetz has been accused of sex trafficking a 17-year-old girl. Several Twitter users, including Julianna, pointed out the hypocrisy and mocked the Florida representative.

“Am I not a little too old for you, Matt? I know you have a thing for targeting teenagers, but 19 is on the cusp don’t you think?” Julianna retorted.
