- Georgia ranks third with 7/10 total score, with it placing in the top 10 for 3 factors. Georgia has the lowest cost of living and demand for freelancers is also high in the state, placing in the top 10.
The Top 5 Worst US States For Freelancers
Delaware was revealed to be the worst state for freelancers, with a score of 3.1/10, largely due to a high monthly cost of living at more than $5,500 and only 0.4 coworking spaces per 100,000 people in the state.
All of the states in the top 5 worst freelance states have less than 1 coworking space per 100,000 people which significantly contributes to their low scores.
