Trump’s Not-So-Happy Happy New Year’s Post Wishes “Marxist Lunatics” & “Clueless RINOS” ‘Well’

WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 19: U.S. President Donald Trump walks out of the White House before departing July 19, 2019 in Washington, DC. Trump is traveling to New Jersey to host a fundraising dinner and spend the weekend at his Trump National Golf...

Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to wish a broad swath of people a “Happy New Year.” The post sent well wishes to a wide range of groups – from “Marxist Lunatics” to “Clueless RINOS” to “Strong American Patriots.”

“HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of the Radical Left Democrats, Marxist Lunatics, China-loving Coco Chow and her Obedient Husband, Mitch, and Clueless RINOS, who are working so hard to DESTROY our once great Country. More importantly, HAPPY NEW YEAR to the Incredible, Brave, and Strong American Patriots who Built, Love, and Cherish America. The REAL leaders of our Country will always remain FAITHFUL and LOYAL to you. The USA will be back, Bigger & Better & Stronger than ever before. GOD BLESS YOU ALL,” he wrote on Sunday night.

“China Chow” is a racist dog whistle used by Trump to name-check former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, who is married to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The post came a week after a similarly sarcastic Christmas post that claimed, “The USA is dying from within!!!” The rhetoric seems to be a preview of how Trump will construct his 2024 Presidential campaign message.

Trump has been using his signature off-kilter style to attack Democrats, the January 6 committee and less-loyal Republicans.

A post on Truth Social read, “The Unselect Committee’s January 6th Report is a Hoax, no different than RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, and all of the other Scams that the Disinformation laden Democrats have been planting for years. If I weren’t leading by a lot in the Polls, against both parties, this continuation of falsehoods and lies would end quickly. I won in 2016, did much better in 2020 (RIGGED!), and the Radical Marxists don’t want to run against me or MAGA in 2024. I had almost nothing to do with January 6th. FREE SPEECH!”

Trump continues to write misleading and offensive posts on his social media platform – including misinformation about the January 6 insurrection, anti-Chinese sentiment and language connecting immigrants to crime.
