DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has just unveiled a complete reboot for the DC cinematic universe to level the playing field with Marvel. Gunn announced new projects for movies and television that will be released in the near future. The announcement is a delightful surprise to fans after being constantly disappointed by the disconnect between storylines and the overall lack of quality compared to Marvel movies.

The new projects will be a part of what Gunn calls “Chapter 1: God and Monsters” which will be separate from the previous DC Universe. Gunn finished off the announcement by saying, “Storytelling is always king. That’s all that matters to us.”
