Play & Odds: Rangers/Canucks OVER 6.5 (-125)

Justification:

Despite the recent coaching change with the hiring of Rick Tocchet, the Vancouver Canucks continue to struggle on the defensive side of the puck. The Canucks allow 4.02 goals-per-game which ranks second-worst in the National Hockey League. Also, they possess the worst penalty-killing league with an abysmal 65.4% efficiency rate.

Enter the New York Rangers. With the recent acquisition of Vladimir Tarasenko on Broadway, the Rangers have added a whole new element to their offense. This move complements the likes of Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, Artemi Panarin, Adam Fox, Filip Chytil, and Vincent Trocheck. Winners of five-consecutive games, this team is starting to round into form at just the right time, much to the dismay of the rest of the Eastern Conference. Given the likelihood of this game over, combined with the fact that this game has all the makings of a goal-fest, you’re getting pretty good value (-125) on a single-unit bet. This one looks like easy money on a variety of fronts. So don’t hesitate – lock in the OVER as soon as you can.
