Two stoats named Tina and Milo and distunguished by their coat colour were unveiled on Wednesday as mascots for the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Milan/Cortina d'Ampezzo. The mascots made their first appearance at the Sanremo music festival, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has voiced sharp criticism on a decision by Italian organizers to build a new sliding track for the 2026 Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Italian government has reiterated that the sliding events at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan/Cortina d'Ampezzo must take place in the country and not be moved elsewhere.
