Two stoats named Tina and Milo and distunguished by their coat colour were unveiled on Wednesday as mascots for the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Milan/Cortina d'Ampezzo. The mascots made their first appearance at the Sanremo music festival, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has voiced sharp criticism on a decision by Italian organizers to build a new sliding track for the 2026 Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d'Ampezzo. The sliding track for the bobsleigh, luge and skeleton competitions at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy is to be built in Cortina d'Ampezzo after long debates.
