The Justice Department appealed the sentences given to seven members of the Oath Keepers for their roles in the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. Former acting Washington U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin has been referred for internal investigation after a 60 Minutes interview discussing Capitol insurrection cases. D.C.
