European countries have nearly doubled their arms imports between 2014-2018 and 2019-2023, boosting their purchases by 94% in the period observed, according to a new study by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met on Wednesday with the European Union's top diplomat Josep Borrell in Kyiv. The Presidential Office reported in a statement that the two discussed, among other things, Ukraine's most recent draft law which aims to increase mobilisation.
