On Friday, April 2, Major League Baseball announced that it had abandoned its plan to play the midsummer classic in Atlanta due to ongoing pressure from civil rights groups and the Major League Baseball Players Association. Fired Georgia troopers accept cash settlement, most offered reinstatement
ATLANTA — Twenty-four of the troopers from the Georgia State Patrol’s 106th class, fired last year for allegedly cheating on a speed-detection test, were offered their jobs back Monday.
