It also featured photos of Jesse Jackson and former Secretary of State John Kerry (D) who served under Obama. The man who was photographed carrying a confederate flag through the halls of the Capitol on January 6, 2021, was found guilty of felony obstruction of Congress, illegal entry and disorderly conduct in the Capitol by a federal judge on Wednesday. Kevin Seefried‘s son, Hunter Seefried was also found guilty. The father and son had traveled from Laurel, Delaware, to Washington D.C., to attend former President Donald Trump‘s “Stop the Steal” rally. The Seefrieds’ lawyers claimed that Kevin was unaware that the confederate flag was a symbol of hate because he never finished the 9th grade. They also...

Former President Donald Trump fired back at journalist Piers Morgan for “unlawfully and deceptively” editing an interview with him to make it look like he walked out in the middle of their conversation. “My time limit of 20 minutes went over by an hour,” Trump contended in a statement. “The good news is that the interview was taped by us as a means of keeping him honest. The interview was actually very strong on the 2020 Election Fraud, with me calling him ‘a fool’ if he truly believed those results,” he added. Trump has a longstanding relationship with Morgan, as he named the journalist the w...

On Monday, the North Carolina State Board of Elections released a court filing that said it had the power to block Rep. Madison Cawthorn(R-North Carolina) from running for another term. They stated that they could do this under the “disqualification act” found in Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. “States have long enforced age and residency requirements, without question and with very few if any legal challenges,” the board wrote. “The State has the same authority to police which candidates should or should not be disqualified per Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment.” The case is still ...

The Justice Department has charged the national leader of the far-right group Oath Keepers and ten others with seditious conspiracy in connection to last year’s January 6 Capitol attack where the group attempted to block the electoral process that would certify Joe Biden‘s 2020 election win. Out of the more than 725 people who have been recorded for taking part in the attack, this is the first time prosecutors filed rare seditious conspiracy charges. A charge like that has to carry proof that two or more people had plans to use force to overthrow a government official or hinder the execution o...

Anthony Williams, one of the rioters in the Capitol riot last January, has requested to travel to Negril, Jamaica to see his girlfriend’s family. Williams said the couple has been together for over a year and that he would be staying with his girlfriend’s father during the visit. He also noted that he would be spending time working with a local nonprofit, St. Anthony’s Kitchen. Williams’ pretrial officer approved the trip, but Chief Judge Beryl Howell adamantly denied the request. “Although such a meeting may be an important step in the defendant’s personal relationship,” Howell’s response rea...

Chief Judge of the D.C. Federal Court Beryl Howell has questioned why the Justice Department is only asking Capitol rioters to pay less than $1.5 million in damages when the total cost to American taxpayers amounts to half a billion dollars. “Where we have Congress appropriating all this money due directly to the events on January 6, I have found the damage amount of less than $1.5 million, when all of us American taxpayers are about to foot the bill for close to half a billion dollars, a little bit surprising,” Howell said. “I’m accustomed to the government being fairly aggressive.” Glenn Wes...
