Both Lennon and George Harrison played the Framus 12-string Hootenanny acoustic guitar while making the album and accompanying film Help!, as well as their 1965 album 'Rubber Soul'. Several guitars put up for sale by Mark Knopfler, the former frontman of British rock group Dire Straits, have fetched more than €10 million at auction yesterday.
