Leonard Allan Cure, an African American male wrongly convicted for the armed robbery of a Walgreens and sentenced to life in prison before his release in December 2020, was shot by a sheriff’s deputy in Georgia last week. Cure’s body was identified by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The bureau is now overseeing an independent investigation of the shooting in Camden County.
