Switzerland-based energy consortium Nord Stream has launched a €400 million lawsuit against insurers including Lloyds of London and Arch Insurance. The contractual disputes relate to the ruptured pipelines Nord Stream 1 and 2, which were designed to transport Russian gas to western Europe. Selon le parquet, cette affaire n’est pas du ressort de la juridiction suédoise. La décision a été saluée par Moscou. Les services de sécurité suédois ont précisé dans un communiqué que les explosions, qui ont eu lieu au large des côtes suédoises, mais dans les eaux internationales, ne visaient pas leur pays et ne menaçaient pas sa sécurité. Deux autres enquêtes sont en cours en Allemagne et au Danemark après ces explosions survenues en septembre 2022 sur ces gazoducs, qui relient la Russie à l’Allemagne et acheminent l’essentiel du gaz russe vers l’Europe.

Sweden has decided to close its investigation into the explosions on the underwater Nord Stream gas pipelines 18 months ago, officials said on Wednesday. The Nordic nation's investigation was one of three probes into the September 2022 explosions that hit the pipelines, which were built to carry Russian natural gas to Germany.
