Iceland volcano eruption: Lava reaches defence barriers
Lava from a volcanic eruption in Iceland flowed toward defences around the town of Grindavik on Sunday. So far the fortification has held the molten rock back as the local community was evacuated. Scientists said the eruption appeared to be weakening and would probably peter out within hours.
