Ruggero Deodato, renowned as the director behind the “most controversial film ever”, has died aged 83. An inspiration for filmmakers including Oliver Stone, Eli Roth and Quentin Tarantino, his most infamous release was the 1980 horror ‘Cannibal Holocaust’.
