Slipknot played their first show of 2024 last night (April 25), which was also their first show with their new drummer after parting ways with Jay Weinberg last November. The band even adopted a mostly classic look, bringing back the red jumpsuits and some familiar masks from early in their career. Their first performance of 2024 was initially set to take place at Las Vegas’ Sick New World festival this Saturday (April 27), but on Tuesday (April 23), they surprise announced an intimate concert through the website youcantkillme.com. It sold out in minutes. Tickets for the event were just $9, an...

Here is the most played song live off every Slipknot album. No one is likely surprised Slipknot plays songs from their 1999 self-titled debut more often than any other album. Common sense says the oldest of the band’s seven albums should have the most appearances on the setlists for their live shows. What is surprising, however, is how much more often Slipknot have dipped into their debut album compared to any other release. Onboard the Summer of ’99 festival cruise, the Creed have performed their second reunion show, changing up the setlist a bit from their April 18 kickoff. The first performance found the band hitting the stage in the late afternoon sun, right as the cruise ship set sail for the Bahamas. It was a remarkable return with the band looking and sounding great, beaming with joy and feeding off the energy that had been building in recent years as Creed became a viral sensation. While fans were treated to many of the same big time hits that were played a couple days ago, Creed delivered a handful of fre...

In support of their new album Invincible Shield, Judas Priest kicked off their North American tour last night (April 18) in Wallingford, Ct. with special guest Sabaton. The Metal Gods took the stage at the Oakdale Theatre and ripped through an 18-song set that heavily focused on the new record, British Steel and Screaming for Vengeance. Honoring a sizable chunk of the back catalog, Judas Priest played one song off six other albums and two from 1978’s Killing Machine (known to some as Hell Bent for Leather). The set mostly mirrored what most fans in Europe already saw the last few weeks, with s...

Aboard their own Summer of ’99 festival cruise, Creed have played their first reunion show, marking their first time onstage together in 12 years. Of course, land-based tours lie ahead in the summer and late fall as well, ensuring this year will be an utterly massive one for the band...

Here is the setlist for the final show from 20 big rock and metal bands. Some were planned while others were shockingly unexpected. More often than not, music fans never know when their favorite band is going to play their final note. On one end of the spectrum, we have KISS who go all-out for their final performance complete with odd avatars to carry on the legacy of the band. Then we have Velvet Revolver who ended things playing a four-song set during a benefit show. The last song they played together as a band was a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here.” It makes you wonder if they wou...
