Suggs entered the portal as a grad transfer with two years of eligibility remaining, according to his Twitter posts. The 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive lineman has been at Grand Valley State since 2019. He redshirted his first year and did not record stats until th...

It looked like it was going to be another heartbreaking loss on the road for the FSU baseball team. Instead, it became one of the Seminoles’ biggest wins of the season. Leading 7-6 with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, and with runners on second and third base, freshman right-hander John Abraham came on and induced a pop-up to first baseman Daniel Cantu and a line-out to second baseman Cal Fisher to preserve the one-run win over No. 6 Duke on Saturday evening. With the victory, No. 10 FSU (34-8, 13-7) has secured the top-10 series win over the Blue Devils and will go for the sweep on...

The 2024 NFL Draft is not even at the halfway mark, and Florida State already is enjoying its best draft performance in years. When defensive back Jarrian Jones was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars late in the third round Friday night, with the 96th pick overall, that marked the sixth Seminole taken in the first 100 picks. The last time FSU had six players selected in an entire draft was in 2018, and only three of those players went in the first three rounds; the other four went in the final four rounds. The last time the Seminoles had six players drafted in the first three rounds was 2015...

He might be FSU coach Mike Norvell’s greatest transfer portal success story, and now he is heading to the NFL. Trey Benson was selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the 66th overall pick, early in the third round, on Friday night. He was the fifth Seminole selected in the 2024 NFL Draft and the fourth on Day 2. FSU defensive end Jared Verse went with the 19th pick in the first round Thursday, while Keon Coleman, Braden Fiske and Renardo Green all went in the second round. Benson’s rookie contract is four years, 6.059 million. There is a signing bonus in the deal worth $1,227,054. Benson, who ...

Florida State Seminoles were bookends of the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. While wide receiver Keon Coleman was the first pick of the second round, cornerback Renardo Green was the final pick and 64th overall. He was taken by the San Francisco 49ers and was the fourth Seminole selected. Unlike Florida State’s first three draft picks — Jared Verse, Coleman and Braden Fiske — Green actually spent his entire career with the ‘Noles. He alternated between cornerback and safety early in his career before finding a home at corner the past two seasons. Green is set to sign a four-year contract w...

Make no mistake, Braden Fiske was already having a solid season for the Florida State defense in November of 2023. The Western Michigan transfer had already proven to be a big-time addition to the Seminoles’ defensive front. But what he did the last two games, particularly the win over Louisville in the ACC Championship Game, started his ascent up NFL Draft boards. And then what he did at the NFL Scouting Combine, where he proved to the most athletic defensive tackle there, proved to be rocket fuel. So much so that Fiske was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the 39th pick of the 2024 NFL D...
