French meatballs with Brie filling and almond breading

Ingredients for 4 people:

50 g baguette
100 g Brie (or Camembert)
2 shallots
500 g ground beef
1 - 2 tsp Dijon mustard
2 eggs (M)
salt
pepper
approx. 100 g flour
approx. 100 g almond flakes
3-4 tablespoons oil
4 stalks basil
pink pepper berries

Preparation:

1. Soak baguette in cold water. Cut Brie into 8 pieces. Peel Shallots and chop finely.

2. Knead ground beef, baguette, shallots, Dijon mustard and 1 egg. Season with salt and pepper. Form 8 round meatballs. Put 1 piece of Brie in the center. Dredge in flour, beaten egg and almond flakes.

3. Heat oil. Roast basil briefly, set aside. Then fry meatballs over medium heat, turning, for about 10 minutes. Season with pink berries. Serve with freshly cooked potatoes, which are then pressed through a potato ricer. Serve the meatballs garnished with basil.
