Juicy chocolate cherry brownies in the baking pan

Ingredients for approx. 30 pieces:

600 g fresh or frozen sour cherries
200 g cherry jam
300 g dark chocolate (70 %)
250 g butter
350 g flour
2 heaped teaspoons baking powder
450 g sugar
1 packet
Vanilla sugar
salt
7 eggs (M)
Also:
Grease and flour for the grease pan
Powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation:

1. Wash the cherries, remove the stems and pit them. Defrost the frozen cherries on a kitchen sieve. Stir jam until smooth, mix with cherries. Break chocolate into pieces, dice butter. Melt both in a hot water bath and allow to cool slightly.

2. Preheat oven (175 °C, convection oven: 150 °C). Mix flour and baking powder. Pour melted chocolate butter into a mixing bowl. Mix sugar, vanillin sugar, 1 pinch salt, flour mixture and eggs with hand mixer.

3. Grease a pan (about 32 x 39 cm; about 3.5 cm deep) and dust with flour. Spread batter onto the greased pan. Spread cherries on top. Bake in oven for about 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool and dust with powdered sugar.
